Meet Dr. Edmund Monsef

Dr. Edmund Monsef, a second-generation Endodontist, grew up immersed in his father's San Diego practice, a pillar in our dental community for decades. With a background in neurophysiology from UCSD, his path naturally led him to specialize in Endodontics. After earning his DMD degree from the Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health, Dr. Monsefadvanced his clinical training through the Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at UCLA, reinforcing his passion for academics and clinical excellence. He served as clinical faculty, interim director of the AEGD Clinic, and practiced general dentistry in Beverly Hills, receiving numerous awards, including fellowship in the Pierre Fauchard Academy.

During these successful years, Dr. Monsef realized his true calling lay in preserving natural dentition. He returned to UCLA for specialty training in Endodontics, where he continues to foster academic curiosity and promote professional excellence as clinical faculty and a published researcher. He is board-eligible and preparing for induction as a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. A member of the American Dental Society and American Association of Endodontics, Dr. Monsef specializes in microsurgical endodontics, ensuring precision and care in every procedure.

Native to Southern California, Dr. Monsef enjoys all things outdoors including surfing, snowboarding, and backpacking through the backcountry of the Sierra Nevadas. Connecting with nature keeps him grounded and humble. As an accomplished musician since childhood, he loves creating and discovering new music. As a foodie, he enjoys exploring new restaurants and honing his culinary and mixology skills. Above all, he loves spending time with family and friends and creating new memories.
